Puttalam Saliheen Masjith’s 6 resolutions against drug addiction

January 01, 2023: The consumption of drugs has been increasing in our area for the past few months, and its effects are felt very badly; therefore, the following decisions have been taken in the monthly meeting of the Administrative body of Saliheen Masjith held on 31.12.2022.  Inshallah, the decisions will be implemented effective January 1, 2023.

1. Our Masjith will not cooperate with marriages held in drug users’ and dealers’ homes.
2. Our Masjith will not cooperate with Janazah duties held in the homes of drug users and dealers.
3. Drug users and dealers will not be prioritized (and invited) to any events held at the Masjid.
4. Name details of drug users and dealers will be displayed through billboards.
5. The details of drug users and dealers will be disclosed to the higher authorities, and strict legal action will be taken.
6. The eligibility for Mahalla membership of drug users and dealers will be revoked.
