January 07, 2023: Farha (Karim Tahir) grows up in a village in Palestine and lives daily according to Islamic principles, running with novels and books in hand among her female friends who only dream of marriage. Her father is the mayor of the village.
The mayor’s character emerges as supportive of her daughter’s dreams and concerned about the safety of her village, despite all the backlash happening around her.

The moment also turns on Farha in a society that offers instant marriage to girls who pass the age of 15. “What is she going to read… the Koran she has read?” Farha’s angry response to her teacher’s question, “I’m going to study politics, maths and English,” sounds like the voice of all oppressed women.
Farha is determined to move out of her village and move to the city to pursue her studies despite opposition. The father also agrees. For Farha, who was happy to go to the city and continue her studies, that happiness did not last even a day. Scenes, where her faith is shattered are staged one after the other.
